Continuing with the New Moon Wishes which we started in January (blog post about the first New Moon of the year) arriving to November, the Scorpio New Moon.
Just to recap, the New Moon is the time to set your intentions for the month ahead. By getting clear on what you want, you will effectively be sending out arrows of desire that cannot help but start to manifest. For detailed tips on New Moon wishing please read the January blog on the above link.
Here is a quick summary of the main areas to focus on for each New Moon during the year:
Capricorn – career ambitions
Aquarius – wishes for the world + friends
Pisces – increased connection to the Divine
Aries – the courage to live your dreams
Taurus – money manifesting
Gemini – better communications
Cancer – happier home life
Leo – the confidence to strut your stuff
Virgo – increased organisation
Libra – better love life
Scorpio – better sex life
Sagittarius – wishes around study + adventure
The current NEW MOON is a Scorpio New Moon. Remember the best time for your wish is within 8 hours afterwards the lunation but anything within 48 hours is still charged with the New Moon energy.
This new moon is a time when we can truly transform ourselves! The Scorpio wants us to dig deep into our lives and instead of focusing on maintaining the status quo pinpointing the things in our lives that make us feel out of control (such as addictions and debts), and work on freeing ourselves of these emotional burdens. It's time to explore what is missing in our lives that leads us to engage in these self-destructive behaviors.
The areas that are connected to the New Moon in Scorpio energy, as any wish connected to them will be extra supported:
taking steps towards self-mastery and self-empowerment by tackling things that undermine us and take away our power (compulsive behaviors, addictions, large debts)
understanding that changes and endings are necessary for our soul growth
having an intimate relationship without feeling like we have lost ourselves
making our sex life better, more intimate
instead of assuming that others do or should see life the same way as we do, learning to try to understand why others don’t share the same values
developing our personal magnetism by working on strength and depth of character
releasing our fear of confrontations and heavy emotional situations
recognizing that although life events may be painful or uncomfortable, these situations can lead us toward healing
taking steps to manage and handle our shared resources with a partner (or ex-partner) in a more positive fashion
putting a financial or savings plan in place
key words for Scorpios are: birth, death, wills, inheritance, legacies, other people's money (especially that of the partner), taxes, investments, crises, change, rebirth - the clearing away in order to make room for the new, reincarnation, sex and attitudes towards it, occult, magic
Scorpio is the ruler of the eighth house which governs: taxes, deaths, probate, inheritance, losses, international finance, multi-national corporations

Yasmin Boland (Moonology) suggests the following action plans for the Scorpio New Moon:
◗ 1. Get sexy
The energy of the New Moon in Scorpio is very sexy. That’s because Scorpio is the sign that isn’t afraid of its dark side, or of showing itself in an unguarded moment. And of course sex works best when people forget themselves and stop worrying about how they look. So many of us grew up being told that sex is in some ways dirty, but Scorpio is the sign that will get down and dirty, and smile lasciviously as it goes. And we all have Scorpio energy.
◗ 2. Invest wisely
Financial partnerships also come under the New Moon in Scorpio. In other words, where your money meets, or works with, someone else’s. Some obvious scenarios include your salary, credit cards and debts as well as mortgages, wills and inheritances. If you want to start or finish a financial partnership, now is a good time for it (although the Full Moon in Scorpio is arguably better for finishing it off).
◗ 3. Make inner peace
Possessiveness and jealousy are also very much the Scorpio energy. Are you going through anything that involves such feelings? A power struggle with someone, say? This relates back to the Dark Side of Scorpio. Don’t reject this part of yourself; rather, use the New Moon in Scorpio energy coming through right now to make peace with it. The less you repress it, the less trouble it will cause you. This doesn’t give you carte blanche to turn into a raging jealous beast, though! Rather, it means acknowledging that you have these feelings, and dealing with them in a way that’s safe for all involved.
◗ 4. B-r-e-a-t-h-e
With all this Scorpio intensity, you won’t be surprised to hear that the New Moon in Scorpio is a really good time to deepen your relationships, sexual or otherwise. Just don’t let your attraction to someone – friendship or sexual – become too obsessive. A bit of an obsession with someone or something can be fun, but it can also go too far. Look at your actions, and if you know you’re being compulsive, then deal with it kindly. Commitments made at the New Moon in Scorpio usually have serious staying power.
◗ 5. Drop grudges
This is also the time to ditch emotional baggage and drop grudges. These are toxic and destructive, and the New Moon in Scorpio is the time to face up to them for what they are. Suspicions, guilt and thoughts of revenge are also somewhat easier to deal with at this time. Sort them out. Life is too short. And karma is too much of a drag. Oh yes, karma is also Scorpionic. Remember, the New Moon is ‘turning the corner’ time. Work on these parts of yourself once a year.
