What is Prana?

Prana is a Sanskrit word that means life-force. This invisible bio-energy or vital energy keeps the body alive and maintains a state of good health.

Similar to Chi in Chinese acupuncture.

Without this energy there would be no life, it is essential for maintaining our health and for our self healing to happen. The human body is "automatically" capable of absorbing this life energy from the air, earth, vegetation, nature, solar radiation and food. Pranic Energy Healing is based on the natural law that this energy can also be consciously passed on to others, accelerating the self-healing process within us greatly.

The energy can be used to restore harmony in our body, both physically and emotionally. The main cause for ailments of any form is because of disruptions in the body’s energy. These disruptions can affect a person’s physical, emotional and social state of being. Pranic Energy Healing involves smoothing out these disruptions.

How does the technique of Pranic Energy Healing work? 

​

The Pranic Energy Healing practitioner is working on the bioplasmic or energy body and not directly on the physical body. This energy body, or aura, is the mold or blueprint that surrounds and interpenetrates the physical body. It is the energy body that absorbs life energy and distributes it throughout the physical body, to the muscles, organs, glands, etc. The reason Pranic Energy Healing works on the energy body is that physical ailments first appear as energetic disruptions in the aura before manifesting as problems in the physical body.

The treatment done on your energy field takes anywhere from a few hours to a couple of days to begin showing effects on your physical body, depending on how energy-sensitive you are and how much of energy is required to heal that particular issue of yours: if the issue is small, you'll require maybe a couple of sessions to see the change, and if the problem has been bothering you for many years, you'll notice changes only over a few weeks.

What does an actual treatment entail? 

​

During the treatment, without actually touching the physical body, it is possible to detect changes in the energy body, the energy centers (chakras) and internal organs, for enegry deficiency or accumulation by examining the individual areas by manually sensing the energy body.

The first step in the Pranic Energy Healing treatment is cleansing and removing the polluted, dirty, exhausted energies - consisting of general cleansing (energy body purification), cleansing specific energy centers and organs. In some cases (eg pain), thorough cleansing results in immediate improvement.

After thorough cleansing energizing is performed, also without touching the physical body, by taking the energy from an external source (through an energy center/chakra) and transmitting a large amount of energy from here. This is a concentrated energy transfer that may take a few seconds to fill the energy center or a sick body.

As the treatment is done on the energetic body, there is also a possibility for treatment when the client is not there in person, this is called Absent Treatment. When treatment is not possible in person or the treatment is required to be repeated a few times a week the practitioner may offer Absent Treatment.

Because a Pranic Energy practitioner does not use her/his own energy, she/he can handle up to several patients every day without fatigue.
